Our History
From Pony Express stop to wedding destination, 67 acres of golden legacy
History runs deep—and rich with adventure
Located in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains and the heart of gold county, The Ranch at Stoney Creek, has always been a warm-welcoming, friend-gathering, and nature-engulfing spot for locals and travelers. Dating back to 1885 as a Pony Express Lodge, with horse draw carriages transporting mail goods from coast-to-coast, express riders would stay the night before carrying on to their next stop.
