After decades of living life in the fast lane with busy careers, Michelle and Leon found The Ranch, a haven for their growing family. They put their passion, craft and skills to work to create a beautiful, sustainable, rustic, and charming destination for their kids, grandkids and extended family; ultimately deciding it was too special not to share. Thus, evolving into the wedding venue you see today…with more dreams and designs of what it can ultimately become.
With a vision to create an exceptional experience, they thoughtfully restored the two historical barns-originally built in the 1800s-and completed extensive renovations across the property, including B&B guest accommodations. They planted and nurtured a thriving organic flower farm, designed and built a beautifully detailed New England-style chapel, created the beloved Chicken Palace, and devoted countless hours to perfecting the stunning landscape.

With a rich background in handcrafted furniture design and interior design for clients across the country, Michelle brings a lifelong passion for beauty, creativity, and thoughtful detail to everything she touches. Her ability to envision spaces in deeply personal and unique ways has transformed countless homes, always with an impeccable eye for detail.
As the heart and soul of our Design Team, Michelle is a collector, curator, and artist with an incredibly green thumb and an unmatched can-do spirit. If you can dream it, she can create it — crafting custom designs, florals, and spaces that feel intentional, elevated, and entirely your own.
About Leon
Leon brings a brilliant engineering mind and an adventurous spirit to the Ranch. For 25 years, he was a specialist at the Pacific Stock Exchange and served on its board before embarking on a remarkable personal journey — rebuilding a 38-foot sailboat by hand and solo sailing to Polynesia, guided by daily coordinates Michelle sent from home.
Today, Leon is the master builder behind the scenes, translating Michelle’s creative visions into beautifully executed realities. His precision, craftsmanship, and problem-solving expertise ensure that every structure, space, and detail is thoughtfully brought to life.
